Who Are Tieterious & Seraphina Skye?
We know this may be long, but it is needed for you to understand our journey. Behind the names are simply two people who have been walking through life together since 2006. We are David and Ashley; husband and wife, parents of two amazing children, dog lovers, lifelong learners, and like many people, individuals who have experienced both the beauty and the challenges that come with building a life together.
If you've visited our homepage, you already know a little about our story. What you may not know is how much of that journey was shaped by the struggles we faced behind the scenes.
For many years, we did what most people do. We worked hard, built careers, raised a family, pursued goals, and tried to create a meaningful life. From the outside, things often looked successful. Yet beneath the surface there were seasons of stress, burnout, sleepless nights, anxiety, depression, uncertainty, and a growing feeling that life was moving faster than we could fully experience it. Like many couples, we found ourselves caught in the busyness of life. Conversations became increasingly focused on responsibilities, schedules, finances, work, and what needed to happen next. We loved each other deeply, but there were times when we felt more like we were managing life together than truly experiencing it together.
There were moments when we felt exhausted. Moments when we questioned ourselves. Moments when we wondered if this was simply what adulthood was supposed to feel like. Always busy. Always planning. Always thinking about tomorrow. Rarely present for today. Like many people, we developed ways of coping with the pressures of life. Some of those habits looked completely normal from the outside. Over time, however, we realized that we were often distracting ourselves from the very things we needed to face. We weren't looking for perfection. We were searching for peace.
That realization became the beginning of a new chapter. David, began asking deeper questions about life, purpose, presence, and what it truly meant to be awake and engaged in the life we were building. After months of reflection and many conversations together, he made the decision to stop drinking alcohol. Not because he was forced to. Not because he had reached rock bottom. Simply because he wanted to experience life more clearly and more intentionally.
What followed surprised both of us. There was greater clarity. Greater awareness. Greater presence. Greater peace. A few months later, after witnessing those changes firsthand, Ashley felt called to make the same decision for her own journey. What began as a personal choice gradually opened the door to something much deeper for both of us.
We started asking different questions:
Who are we beneath our roles and responsibilities?
What truly matters?
How do we create a relationship that continues to grow rather than simply survive?
How do we build a family centered on connection instead of constant busyness?
How do we become more present for our children, ourselves, and each other?
The answers did not arrive overnight. They emerged through years of meditation, breathwork, mindfulness, yoga, time in nature, personal reflection, and countless honest conversations. These practices did not remove life's challenges. They changed the way we met those challenges. We became more aware, more intentional, more compassionate, and more connected. We learned how to slow down, how to listen, how to breathe, and how to appreciate moments that once passed unnoticed.
Most importantly, we found our way back to ourselves and back to each other. Over the last several years, friends, family members, couples, and individuals began asking about the practices that had helped us. Conversations became gatherings. Gatherings became classes. Classes became workshops, guided experiences, meditation circles, breathwork sessions, and opportunities to support others on their own journeys.
Today, we have had the privilege of guiding many couples and individuals through experiences designed to cultivate greater presence, awareness, connection, and personal growth. Not because we have all the answers. Not because we are gurus. And certainly not because we have life perfectly figured out. We simply share what has helped us and continue learning alongside those we serve.
Within our spiritual practice, we are known as Tietarious and Seraphina Skye. Those names hold personal meaning for us and reflect a chapter of our journey that continues to unfold. At the end of the day, however, we are simply David and Ashley; two people who believe that stronger couples create stronger families, that growth is a lifelong journey, and that love, presence, and connection are worth intentionally cultivating. Entwined Breath was created from that belief.
If our story resonates with you, we would be honored to welcome you into our community and walk alongside you on your own journey of growth, connection, and awakening.
What We Believe
Over the years, life has taught us many lessons. While we certainly do not have all the answers, there are a few things we have come to believe deeply through our own experiences, challenges, growth, and journey together.
• Stronger couples create stronger families.
• Love is not something we find once. It is something we intentionally cultivate every day through presence, communication, compassion, and connection.
• Presence is often more important than perfection.
• Growth begins with awareness. We cannot change what we are unwilling to see.
• Breath is one of the most powerful tools we have for reconnecting with ourselves, calming the mind, and returning to the present moment.
• Life becomes richer when we slow down enough to fully experience it.
• Challenges, setbacks, and difficult seasons are often some of life's greatest teachers.
• Personal growth and spiritual growth are lifelong journeys, not destinations.
• Community matters. Healing, growth, and transformation are often easier when shared with others walking a similar path.
• We believe stronger individuals create stronger relationships, stronger relationships create stronger families, and stronger families create stronger communities.
• We believe there is something greater than ourselves. For us, that includes a relationship with God. Whether you connect with God, a higher power, source, love, light, nature, universal consciousness, or something else entirely, we honor and respect your path. Our goal is never to tell others what to believe, but to create a welcoming space where people can explore, grow, connect, and awaken in a way that feels authentic to them.
• We believe awakening is not a destination. It is a lifelong journey of becoming more present, more aware, more connected, and more fully alive.
